There's a group, yes. I don't think that there's a page. And yes, there's a link to this page on the group.

Some random things I've been considering recently:
Video games are an attempt to vicariously live a life of significance and excitement without stress, exertion or boredom. Unfortunately, it is possible to be so caught up in living significantly in a vicarious world that one forgets to live significantly in the real world.
Although I'm glad the restrictions on battle thread romance have been lifted slightly, I appreciate them because they have taught me that it's not always the two primary characters on a quest who fall in love and are eventually married. Adventures tend to make close friendships, but they don't always end in romance. Ver and Ezar, for example. When Jag and Raptor start suggesting potential relationships between characters—Ver and Ezar predominant among them—I can smile and shrug, because I've learned that close friendships do not equal romantic relationships.
I hate Adobe Flash Player's tendency of making me install new versions of Flash manually even though I've set it to update Flash automatically.

Heh, those are completely random :P Good thoughts, though. Also, I read your post on your new Writing Thread. I like it!

Adobe Flash Player (and Shockwave Flash, which I believe is related) is a dragon-kissed yrch mellon and that is all I need say on the subject, other than that it was at lest partially responsible for my last post on this thread. >.<
Also, I like your thoughts on the romance rules. Also, I agree that close friendships don't mean romance, but I can sympathize with your brothers' reaction as well . . . there are certain couples on other battle threads (not CaC2) who I ship very hard, even though there's no way they'll actually happen.

I'm not shipping Ezar and Ver. When I suggested that, I was seeing what sort of reaction I could get from Dmitri.

Hmm. If I was gonna ship a couple of CaC2 characters, it would be Gorbo and Essa. Their shipping name can be Gorbessa!

I think Javez and Essa is more appropriate. Then Alessa can have another Daddy! As long as she doesn't die...

Wookiee's subtitle (Ni dinuir gar an ibic darasuuum ret'urcye mhi) translated: I give you all this forever. Maybe we'll meet again.

The way I translated it says: 'I give you all this eternal farewell'. I was trying to transcribe 'The Last Goodbye' by Billy Boyd in Mando'a.

Ah, I love that song…I have the lyrics saved in a file on my desktop, and I can sing the whole thing through without looking at them. So is "Ni dinuir gar an ibic darasuuum ret'urcye mhi" a rough translation of the last line (I bid you all a very fond farewell)?

I love it, too. It made me cry the first (second...third...tenth...) time I listened to it. Yeah, it's the last line. I could put the whole song up, if you're interested.

The whole song in Mando'a? Yes, I'm definitely interested.
I think you have one too many "U"s in darasuum, though.

Alright, so, here's the finished (?) work and the rough translation.

Rough translation I watched the light depart from the night sky. From the wind I heard as he sighed. And as the snow covers My fallen brothers I must say this last goodbye
Night has now fallen So ends this day The road now cries out And I must away
Over hill and under tree Through lands where light never shone Beside bright rivers that run down Into the sea
Under sky, under the stars Over snow and cold mornings I return at last to roads That lead home.
And where the road takes my soul I can no longer tell. We walked all this road And now comes the day To tell you farewell.
Many lands I have walked Many hells I have watched But I no longer regret And I never forget All who took that road with me.
Over hill and under tree Through lands where light never shone Beside bright rivers that run down Into the sea
To my memories I will hold dear I shall bear your good thoughts I return at last to roads That lead home.
And where the road takes my soul I can no longer tell. We walked all this road And now comes the day To tell you farewell.
I give you all this eternal farewell.

Wow. That's got to have taken a long time to translate. It's great that Mando'a has so many words, else you'd be stuck on a lot of it.
Speaking of Mando'a, did Kara Werda's name originally come from ka'ra werda, star dark?
