Leilani Sunblade I guess you and Katrina are both going to push me until I agree to do it… Idk323 I guess I'll do it.

I won't push you. I'll just strongly encourage you to seriously consider it. But HUZZAH!

I'm going to try and do it. I did it last year before I joined here and managed to win it. Most of my writing will come after I finish my exams on November the 12th, so it could be hard to win it. I also need to finish world-building and plotting, which hopefully I can also get done before it starts.

Yeah. School is my issue too. But I need stress relief. So... I dunno. Maybe.

Aviar Goldeneagle: Coolness! (And for the record, it is totally possible to get it done in less than 30 days . . . though 18 is a bit tight. Best of luck, and let me know if you need a word war!)

jliessa44 That makes sense. Actually, that's probably one of my main reasons for still wanting to do it.

Lol. Yeah. I might just set a personal goal and try to hit it.

Lol. That's what I was thinking about. Though, as far as I know, I don't really have any major tests or anything in November, so maybe I'll be able to get writing done... But then again, the homework is enough to keep me busy... *Sigh*

Looks cool, Liessa. I don't have time to look at it extensively, but I glanced through it and it looks pretty useful.

Yeah. I'm not doing it all exactly as it's supposed to be done but thus far it's helped a good bit.

I wasn't planning to do NaNo, but I think I might. Problem is the story I want to write will be for a competition (if it happens, I was going to do it for this year but they didn't have enough sponsorship to run it) and the upper limit is 10,000 words [from memory]... Though I might give Ira's storry another shot... or make up something completely different.

You could do a series of short stories. Or a 10,000 short story and then 40,000 on something else.

Starsinger: Yes, do it! You could just do the story for the competition and then switch over to another story. *shrugs* I've done it (though it was for a Camp NaNo, not a normal NaNo).

So for day seven of the nano prep calendar, I switched the marketing planning with the narrative synopsis. I feel like marketing is something better planned between the first draft and edits. And that the narrative synopsis really helped me out with my MC's voice.
Phew. I've done 8 days work (seven if you don't count the day off) in five. So I'll be on day nine tomorrow.

Just to let y'all know, I've added some UGers to my buddy list for NaNo. Some of you have different names from on here so I won't have you.

Well... I'm currently doing three novel's worth of prep because I still haven't decided what to work on once I've completed the short story o.O

Aviar Goldeneagle: I am. Despite having only yesterday and today to plan because I was busy trying to get to a good stopping point in my other WIP . . . (which I'm nearly to the climax of! Huzzah!)

Today's wordcount: 3601 words. Very pleased! I've caught the writing bug and I'm losing my voice.

Dmitri Pendragon: Congratulations! Except for the losing your voice bit. I got 2710 yesterday. Hoping to get 3K-some today, if not more.

Yeah. And I have limited wifi access now. So I've got to be careful and ration the data I use. :/ So not shaping up to be the most productive November ever.

And I made the word count goal for today, just barely. I'm tempted to work a little longer and give myself some more leeway, but I'm tired and going to sleep. Lol. Tomorrow I think I'll have more time to work on it. I hope.

I have done absolutely nothing yet... I did sit down and attempt the short story but all my ideas disappeared or seemed stupid o.O Ja, we shall see if going back home will fix that :/

I just discovered this yesterday: nanowrimo.org/forums/word-wars-prompts-sprints/threads/262656It's basically a month-long series of dice-based wordcount crawls with a RP/adventure theme. It's kind of awesome. And also really hard when you discover it on the second day and try to squeeze two days' worth of work into one . . . but on the upside, I have 7K now.
