I've tried it a few times, and I'm getting the hang of it

Nice! You should post something from it. Have you drawn Caedmon before? You should. If inspiration strikes, of course.

Hey, bit of a weird question, but does anyone know of a good app for recording phone calls? I have to interview someone over the phone this week, and I need something to record our interactions so I can write a report off of it.

I really don't know how to do that.

jliessa44: Neither do I, but I know it's possible. I checked the Google Play store, and there's a bunch of different apps you can use to record calls, but I don't know which ones are best, and thus I asked here.

I always just google and read the reviews before I decide which app for whatever I'm wanting.

I did that as well (well, I read the reviews in the Play Store), but they all seemed to have kind of mixed reviews. So, I don't know. Again, that's why I'm asking here, to see if anyone who I know has experience with this sort of thing.

Does anyone know of or use a cheapish drawing tablet? I use a Wacom Bamboo. I love it, but it isn't mobile, so I'm considering an alternative.

It's not cheap, but I use an iPad Pro with the procreate app and it's amazing.
I've heard that Huion has really nice/cheap tablets. I've thought about getting one myself, but idk the portability.

I've heard how the iPad Pro can be really useful. I might get one sometime, but I haven't got the expendable resources for that just now. I do already own all the equipment I actually need. :/
The ISKN slate looks cool too, though...

Hey, quick question: does anyone have their own website with its own domain name? (So, you're paying for the domain name and the hosting site?) If so, what sites did you get the domain and hosting at?
Thanks!

I personally don't have a website, but I know you can get domains from domain.com, GoDaddy.com, etc. And I'd you use a website builder like Squarespace you can get a custom domain directly from them, and there are promos that allow you to get a free custom domain. The one that I know of is using the promo code "cow" which gives you 10% off your first purchase and you get a free domain if you sign up for a year. (Squarespace is a subscription-based service) EDIT: I promise I'm not sponsored by Squarespace or Blimey Cow. It's just because that particular method has been drilled into my brain.
EDIT EDIT: Changing the subject a bit, but I just got my first DSLR! Any other photographers on here?

I don't have paid hosting, but I do have a domain name. I got the domain name from GoDaddy and, in addition to this charge every two years, I pay annual mapping to WordPress to connect the domain name and site.
The sites that have been recommended to me are Bluehost (hosting) and Namecheap or GoDaddy (domains). I think there's another hosting option that I looked at a while ago, but I can't remember it now.

Kirenyth Fireblade: Haha, how could I have forgotten Squarespace? (I used to watch so much BlimeyCow . . . not so much these days.) Anyway, thanks for the tip! Dmitri Pendragon: Ok, so is that different than the Wordpress paid plans? (https://wordpress.com/pricing/) If it is, what's the price difference? I've heard about GoDaddy. Not Bluehost or Namecheap. I'll look those up.

Leilani Sunblade: Yes, it's different. I have a free site with WordPress and just pay to keep the domain name there. Mapping is about US$13 per year for me.
