It's like two right now, and my mom got a call saying that my grandpa's heart keeps stopping for 40 to 50 seconds at a time... Everyone is really worried... :/

We're here in the hospital with him (in the next town over, which is like 45 minutes away) and since then his heart hasn't stopped again. My mom said the heart doctor told him it's amazing that he's still alive, and I'm really thankful for all the prayers! Last I heard they were still doing tests though. (And thankfully when I called in to work, they didn't give me a hard time about not being able to cover my shift today.) Anyway, I'll definitely let you guys know whenever I find anything else out.

He's going in to surgery around 12:00 my time (like three hours from now) for a pacemaker.

Idk323: Still praying. How'd the surgery go?

The surgery went well, and I think they're just going to keep him a little bit longer for observation. I would have posted this sooner, but I had fallen asleep because I'm exhausted... >.< Thank you guys so much for praying. My grandpa and the rest of my family really needed it, especially since some stuff with my uncle is still going on. On top of all that, we only have around five days before we leave on a trip to see my sister in Florida (which we'll be gone for around 12 or 13 days). So yeah... Thank you for praying, and if you guys could just keep praying that my family won't feel so stressed out about everything, and that we're able to get everything done in time before we leave, I would appreciate it a whole lot. (Also, sorry for the rambling post... I'm still not very awake at the moment. I think in total I've gotten four hours of sleep. >.<)

My family left on our trip, so if you guys could pray for safe travels, that would be great.

Idk323: Already praying; I'll keep doing so. Also, I could use some travel-related prayer as well, though in a different way: my dad is trying to get a TDY to Wright-Pat AFB the Monday/Tuesday before Thanksgiving break starts, so that he can get me on the way back and won't have to use up another two days of leave (and because of later plans, we're trying not to be sparing with his leave). Him getting a TDY might also mean that my little sister could visit me for a couple days at college, which would be super awesome. So if you could pray that the TDY at that time would work out, I'd really appreciate it.

Starsinger: Thank you! Also: TDY= military term for a short-term business/work trip. Wright-Pat AFB= Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, which happens to be close to my college. Anything else unclear? Aviar Goldeneagle: Thank you!

New Zealand is shaking again. It's half past twelve here and I've been awake since midnight because of drawn-out periods of shaking. 6.6 earthquake further north of Christchurch, I'm told. No reported damage but I hear news of evacuation in some areas. Google for more information. Please pray for: - safety for everyone - no damage - quick calming of aftershocks - no tsunamis in response - anything else relevant

Cup graded to 7.5, and felt pretty mc uh everywhere over NZ, tsunami warnings only both islands, but only as a precautions, those within a km or two of the shore move further inland, nothing big expected.
I'm glad for the fact that they really don't bother me that much, I can't imagine life otherwise, and am only awake now 'cause the stupid dog was barking.

I've seen estimates from 6.6 (original) up to 7.8. My house and family are fine. I went back to sleep around 1. There have been two reported casualties so far, closer to the epicentre. Thank you all for your prayers. There has been some damage to more central places—I've seen pictures on the Internet—but I don't think it's been as serious as the two other major earthquakes we've had in the past few years.

It was definitely the longest earthquake I've ever felt, but where I live it wasn't as shaky as other quakes in the past. One of the casualties was, I believe, an older person having a heart attack--not actually caused by direct earthquake damage. Hopefully there aren't any more casualties found. Keep praying.

Wow, I'm glad this one wasn't as bad as the others. Will there be a lot of clean up and reconstruction? I looked up pictures and thankfully there didn't seem to be too much destruction.

Hey everyone, I've been more silent on the forums than usual for the last week because we're moving. One load is already up, but we have the majority of stuff to move still and we picked the perfectly wrong time to do it. This blizzard will likely make our trips snowy. I would greatly appreciate it if ya'll could pray that we have safe travels and everything. Thanks.

Praying, guys.
I'm sitting my final end of year calculus exams tomorrow--the final school exams I'll ever do--and I kind of need to pass all three of them to make sure of getting into university next year. If you guys could just pray that I stay cool, and don't make any silly small mistakes which would cost me marks, that would be great. Thanks so much.
