I've fired a .22 before, exactly once. And that was to test out .22 birdshot. But I do have a crossbow.

NightBlade: I guess weapons are among the first things you give your characters? EDIT: Who wants a Shardblade?

Who wants a Shardblade? I'd rather be a Knight Radiant, but . . . ME.

Which order? I'm trying to decide which order I would be, but it's too hard...

I'm not sure either. I could see myself as a Lightweaver like Shallan, I think, but since we don't know a lot about any of the orders, it's difficult to say. (Being a Windrunner would be the coolest, but I don't think I have the personality for it . . .)

I'd go with Windrunner. Hands down. Lashing is an excellent way of flying that doesn't require physical strength. Plus I get an honorspren. And I get to run on the walls and the ceiling, and even float. Yeah, I want to be a Windrunner.

Anyone know any good armour-building sites?

Post by CNGoodhue on May 23, 2015 22:17:29 GMT
Elytra: Define "armor-building site". :P Something that annoys me is when I'm in a debate and somebody tells me that instead of an officer shooting to kill, they should just "shoot the weapon out of their hand" or crap like that. It's just not plausible. What you're talking about only works in the video games. :P Or when an officer empties his pistol on a guy there are always those few people in the comments... "Geez, all you had to do was put one or two rounds in him..." Mm, that's not the way it works, pal. It usually takes a full mag to get someone down. :P

People Are Stupid :/ Three shots to center mass with a 9 or a 40 oughta stop a dude. I have a friend (he's like 50 something) who was an MP and the most rounds he had to put in a guy was like a dozen or something, cuz he was a heroin zombie. Yeesh. Honestly, making the 9mm standard sidearms hollow point would solve SO many problems

CNGoodhue: I expect Raptor means a website with instructions for building armour. He's got some pieces of pipe and is beginning to put a vambrace together, so that sounds to me like the most likely explanation.

That's a lot of knives . . . BTW, the rifle is the .270 you mentioned a while ago, right? How much stronger (or whatever the correct word is) is it than a .22?

Yeah heheh. And even some of them were not present, such as my two small ones and my McHenry Williams Benchmade. Yes, that's the one. Have you seen a .306 round before? A .270 roud is very similar, just a tiny bit smaller around. A .270 cartridge is 6th over from the left, and a .22LR is 4th over from the right.

I have seen .306 cartridges before, though not in a while- my grandpa has an old .306 (I think) that he used to hunt with when my mom was my age or younger, and he brought it on one of our camping trips for himself and my dad to shoot. I did not shoot it, if you were wondering- I like my shoulder in one piece, thank you. Thanks for answering my question.

Has anyone ever taken up the task of learning every part of medieval plate armor? Like rerebraces, brigandines and such?

I have a new child. I think that makes 10 blades in my personal armory Nice dude! Looks like some out of LOTR. I want a new knife soon, cuz right now all I've got is a $19.99 Smith & Wesson that, while I guess could serve some good if someone were to jump me, wouldn't help a whole lot. I kinda want a switchblade to carry around with me haha, but I don't have the money for that atm. Maybe one like this:

It's a khukri, based off the old Nepalnese decapitation machine. Yeah a switch would be cool! But what would add style would be a nice butterfly. You can get great deals at fairs if you know what to look for.
