Well, my PC's GPU is officially broken. ;-; Turned on the computer this morning to find that the second monitor was disabled and the screen resolution was all messed up. When I logged in a pop-up claimed that there was "New Hardware Found"; can't reinstall the drivers. Can't access the NVIDIA Control Panel. This PC is now an utter piece of crap, and everything runs 10x slower.
On the bright side now my brother and I can get an upgrade. The $95 tower I posted above is a good deal overall, except for (1 the IGP, and (2 I'd have to buy at least 4 more GB of RAM for music mixing. The CPU is an Intel Pentium D, which kinda sucks, but I don't think we would have too much of a problem since we don't generally run demanding processes.

Ouch, CNGoodhue. We've gone through our share of PCs...so annoying. I thought I killed my laptop earlier, heh. I haven't used it for about a week or so, then pulled it out today for school. It wouldn't turn on, so I freaked out. Turns out, even though I had it plugged in for a few days, the battery died. It should be okay now, I had it charging. And it didn't crash on me, like it used to, so I'm crossing my fingers.

Kirenyth Fireblade DELL Dimension 5150. Here are the specs (this is after my brother and I put a little money into it): Intel Pentium(R) 4 Single-Core 3.00GHz CPU NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT 4GB RAM Windows XP OS 32-bit 1575GB of storage (this is after I bought a 500GB external hard drive and my brother bought a second 1TB internal hard drive - for whatever reason the PC came with only 75GB of usable space) It's okay, but I'm positive the DELL OptiPlex 320 that I found will perform much better.

WookieeElf Whoops, sorry. Didn't see your post. XP Haha, I've had a lot of rookie mistakes like that where I wonder why it isn't turning on - then come to find it's not plugged in. Lol. Hopefully your computer works though. It should. I'm about 98.7% positive haha.

I don't know a whole lot about computers, but based on what I'm guessing was it's age from the OS and core, 75GB seems pretty unsurprising. Though the new one your talking about seems like you're at least getting something not too bad for that price. You probably won't be able to run anything very demanding out of box, but for only $95 as opposed to $600-$800, it seems fairly reasonable.
Actually, because I really don't know, how demanding of features would you actually be able to use?

Ellron Silvertree Yeah, it's a far deal. And I'm not exactly sure. It might - might - run the the new Battlefront at a reasonable framerate. The on-board graphics will kinda reduce fps in-game. Kirenyth Fireblade I am actually not very fond of Windows XP, lol. The reason why I haven't upgraded is because the graphics card is out of date - and to get a new graphics card (my brother was looking at getting the GeForce GTX 750ti) we'd have to literally upgrade everything else in the computer. So in the end it would just be a lot cheaper to buy a whole new PC. And the DELL OptiPlex I posted the link to is running on Windows 7.

Cool! and by the way I was talking about upgrading to a new computer, not just the OS. xP how old is the one you're looking at?

Cedric: Hmm..... Maybe. I'm not sure, though. I have a PC with: 1TB of memory 8GB of RAM Intel i7 Whatever the graphics card is that my computer came from. Overall it's fairly solid for my purposes, and I'm feeling rather dubious about how well I would be able to run the game. You might, *might* be able to run it on the lowest graphics setting, but I don't know. Also, I could be wrong since I don't know how much you plan to modify it. A friend of mine is getting Assassin's Creed Syndicate, and we'll see how that works for him.

I have a brand new Dell laptop with 1TB hdd, 8GB ram, and a dual core 15 2.2ghz. Standard Nvidia card. Only demanding game i play is Minecraft with fancy graphics, smooth lighting and 12 render distance, never drops a single frame. I hope Battlefront works well for me.

I have a 1 year old desktop computer that I built with 1TB HDD, 16GB RAM, and a quad-core 3.6 GHz processor. Although, I don't play any games on it, so I can't comment on its gaming performance or fps

Battlefront 3 is also supposed to be well-optimized, so it'd make running to game on a decent framerate easier. Daaang, Jag Starblade. That's nice. xD

It was built for virtualization. I've had four OS's running on there at once before. Although, when I have more than one, the hard drive bottlenecks (I really do need to put an SSD in it for the main operating system, or else some cheap little HDDs for the virtual machines.) Anyone else interested in the Surface Pro 4? I'd like one, it's just reaaally expensive

Anyone have a Windows Phone? Thoughts on it? Personally I prefer it over an Android which is what my previous phone was. It has limited apps although Instagram just came out for it a few months ago but I don't use a ton of apps anyways so it's not a big deal. I like the layout of it, has much better speed and performance than my old one and it doesn't glitch very often only when it gets tired. Does great with video chats, takes very good pictures and videos and uploads pretty quick too. All in all I love it! Windows phone is the way to go! Quick edit. The only downside is that in order to get your photos and videos of the phone, you have to upload it to OneDrive or send them to yourself; you can't just plug it into your computer like with an Android. But that's it's only flaw. ^_^

From what I've heard, Windows phones are not that great. I haven't heard a good experience with one other than on here. Just to note, the speed of a phone has more to do with the specs of the phone than the OS. My Android is fairly nice.

I actually find it to better in some respects then an Android but I think why people dont like it much is the limited apps for windows. It works really great at any rate, so no complaints from me.

I think I would probably stick with my Motor X, at least because I'm not a fan of the windows phone interface from what I've seen. But that's just me, and hey, if it works, it works, right?

Anyone know where I can find one or two 4GB RAM chips that would a laptop? Pretty much all of the ones I need are $70 apiece on Amazon, newegg and such. Specifically I'm looking for 4GB DDR2 SO-DIMM 800mHz

You can get 8GB RAM sticks for a laptop or desktop at Best Buy (if you have those stores wherever you live) for about 60$ a piece, I believe. (Half a year's delayed reply, I know. : P I didn't know anything about RAM pricing until recently.)
By the way, does anyone know if Google Hangouts (specifically video chatting) works on a low-end Android tablet? I'm just wondering because I got a new Android and haven't tested Hangouts on it yet. But it would be very nice if I didn't always have to use a laptop for video calls.

Warrior of Aror: Google Hangouts should work on any piece of technology with a camera and the app, I'd assume. NightBlade: Is that like a Wacom tablet?
