During the Proofing of
The Sky Riders, we had a battle set in an alternate version of Aria-Prime (the book wasn't out yet and not all of us had read it yet). I recently tried to find the thread (Epic Battle) to review a story idea I had, but unfortunately it was on the old Underground and has now been deleted. However…as I'd done with CaC2, I saved the character profiles from the Epic Battle, not only mine but also

Dmitri Pendragon<> Sorek ap Hanan
Name: Sorek ap Hanan
Pronunciation: SOR-rek AP HAN-nan
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Position: Sky Nation (Zy-Adair) Prince
Race: Human
Appearance: Sorek is tall and slender with tanned skin; he has curly copper-brown hair that hangs in ringlets around his ears. His eyes are light grey, nearly white.
Clothing: Sorek wears the dark grey, pale blue and yellow of the Sky Nation—a long-sleeved shirt, boots, and trousers. On missions, he prefers to wear shabbier clothes than what would befit a prince, but in his father’s city, he wears the crown of the Sky Nation’s prince.
Armour: Sorek wears a hardened leather vest and gauntlets, as well as metal shoulder armour and vambraces custom-built to suit him. On missions, he wears a helmet that protects all of his face aside from his mouth and his odd eyes.
Weapons: Sorek carries a nelurime pistol, a long-range bullet gun, and two cutlasses.
Personality: Sorek is cold and reserved and prefers action to talking. He is passionately loyal to his father and his father’s cause and obeys his father’s orders without question. He is tactical and knows when to fight and when to retreat, and there have been few situations where he has been unable to find a way out.
Abilities: Sorek is a blademaster and an accurate shot. He has a mastery of tactics and leadership, and many among the Sky Nation look to him as the prime choice for the replacement king when Hanan dies or steps down.
Weaknesses: Sorek finds social activities very hard—not the activities, but the social part. He likes to be alone, but in this, he does not recognise his loneliness. His greatest desire—and he doesn’t know it—is to have a friend who understands him and will take him as he is.
History: Sorek has been on several diplomatic missions recently to other Zy-Adair gangs in an attempt to gather them all up under the Sky Nation and his father. He did this at his father’s request, and he has suspicions as to what King Hanan intends to do, but does not know for sure.
Other: The Sky Nation is a gathering of Zy-Adair who live in the tall Hanaron Mountains far to the east of the city of Aria Prime. There are other Zy-Adair gangs as well.

Name-Akim (Ah-keem) Kyradul
Age-29-ish. Depending on how long this has been since the first battle.
General physical description-Hair that's white as snow, eyes red as blood.. He wears tailored black suit with a white cotton undershirt and Victorian neck-scarf. He also wears a a black hooded cloak to ward off the damaging rays. His delicate skin can't handle anything and therefore remains a pale, translucent white. He's short and slender. He has a gold pocket watch.
Job-Ehh... Second-in-command. He's the guy who brought about the saying "keep your friends close, and your enemies closer". And he's that way purposefully so he's close enough to stab everyone in the guy.
Strongest positive personality traits- He's very determined, courageous. Very smart. And very patient.
Strongest negative personality traits-He's narcissistic and cruel. He has an explosive temper and only Bahadur can control him.
Ambitions-Only to rule the world.
Weapons-His wit.
Other-He believes that no one other than himself and Bahadur should live.
<> Bahadur Louis Kyradul
Name-Bahadur Louis Kyradul
Age-Sixteen-ish depending on timeline
General physical description-Tall, muscular. He's blond with blue eyes. A rather normal sort of fella, but he's always unnaturally stern. He tends to wear an off-white long-sleeved shirt with a burgundy quilted vest and tailored pants a few shades more brown with a darker value than his vest.
Job-Protecting his bruder, Akim.
Strongest positive personality traits-He's incredibly loyal, very determined. Courageous.
Strongest negative personality traits-He's rather subdued due to Akim. He's loyal only to Akim.
Ambitions-Serve Akim to the fullest.
Weapons-Pretty much anything. Akim raised him to be the perfect bodyguard.
Other-Akim stole him as a baby and put him through rigorous training until he was adept at everything they could think of. He tends to use a random smattering of German.
Leilani Sunblade<> Eillia Fraxinus
Name: Eillia Fraxinus
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Position:
Appearance: Eillia has dark hair, which she usually wears in a braid or messy bun, having no time to do more with it. Her eyes are large and blue-grey. She's of about average size.
Clothing: Depending on what she's been ordered to do that day, she either wears a simple, slightly ragged black dress or a functional shirt and knee-length pants combination.
Weapons/Armour: Has some skill with a pistol, courtesy of her father, who taught her when she was young. Her main weapon, however, is a heavily modified flashlight, which her friend made for her. Functions include:
-Can be set to produce a bright enough beam to temporarily blind someone
-Sturdy enough to be used as a club
-If put on a certain setting and the light button is held down, can deliver an electric shock
-For extreme emergencies, has a compartment that holds and fires darts tipped with a knockout drug. Within minutes of being hit, a person will go unconscious.
Personality: Eillia is a hard worker, and when she sets her mind to something, you can be sure she'll make it happen. Often tired, she can be a bit snappish at times but is generally well-meaning. She has a decided sense of humor, which she has to be very tired indeed before she forgets. When free or out and about, she does her best to present a confident, carefree, come-what-may attitude, but inside, she still feels the pain of her parents' deaths.
Abilities: Quite fast, surprisingly sneaky, is more than willing to take a risk or three when it counts, never gives up.
Weaknesses: Tends to overestimate herself and her abilities, rather stubborn,
History: Eillia was born to an upper-class couple and spent six happy years living in peace and comfort. At age six, however, her mother died giving birth to her younger brother, who never even took his first breath. Her father remarried a year later, and Eillia did her best to get along with her new family. However, she and they always ended up clashing, one way or another. When Eillia was thirteen, she and her father both caught (some kind of plague/disease). Her father died, and she nearly did as well, but just managed to pull through. Her family, however, claimed that she had died, and forced her to become a servant in her own home.
Other: Eillia is a character I created for a steampunk Cinderella remake I'm hoping to write; I'm still trying to test her out.
<> Luis Krona
Name: Luis Krona
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Position: Apprentice in a shop known as the Gadgetry, which makes and repairs mechanical things. It specializes in smaller, more delicate projects (clocks, etc.).
Appearance: Luis has keen brown eyes and brown hair that always seems to be in need of a trim. He's on the smaller side, but not too small.
Clothing: Luis generally wears a brown tweed cap, much-patched brown pants, an off-white shirt, and leather boots that are just a bit too big. When working on something, he usually also wears a pair of magnifying goggles with interchangable lenses, which will either be over his eyes or pushed up on his forehead.
Weapons/Armour: Doesn't like to fight, but usually has a variety of other nonlethal weapons invented by himself about his person, just in case. These include:
-A screwdriver that, when a button is depressed, can deliver a powerful electric shock.
-A small flashlight that can, like Eillia's flashlight, shoot darts. It's somewhat less effective than Eillia's flashlight, since it was invented first.
-A watch with a secret compartment holding knockout powder.
In addition to these, he can, in a pinch, create a variety of makeshift weapons from whatever items he happens to have on hand.
Personality: Luis is creative and quick-thinking. As you might expect, he's good with gadgets and figuring out how things work. He's something of an inventor, and he keeps a stock of spare parts that he tinkers with in his spare time. He prefers to avoid any conflict, and if it comes to a disagreement, to resolve it with words rather than violence. If it comes to violence, however, he'd rather get it over with as quickly as possible.
Abilities: Creative, skilled with gadgets and mechanical things, a good thinker, has the ability to look objectively at a situation and serve as a peacemaker in an argument.
Weaknesses: On the smaller side. Not very useful in a straight-up fight, particularly if he doesn't have his gadgets handy.
Other: The Gadgetry is part of the Giloti/Metalworkers' Guild, and they have no more than the usual affiliation with Inventors. Luis is something of an inventor, as you can probably tell by now. However, he is not part of the Inventors- at least, not yet- and only tells his closest friends that he's the one making all these things.
<> Zara ay Morana
Name: Zara ay Morana
Age: Late 20s
Gender: Female
Position: Captain of one of the Zy-Adair airships
Appearance: Zara is tall and imposing. She has dark hair cropped close around her face, which generally appears as cold and hard as mountain rock. Her eyes are grey and seem to see everything. She has many, many scars, though she covers most of them.
Clothing/Armour: Zara generally wears a red, somewhat billowy shirt and tan canvas pants. Over this is a brown leather flight jacket (or sometimes vest, depending), along with brown leather flight boots and gloves. When flying (and sometimes when not), she adds to this a hardened leather helmet, vest, and vambraces, as well as tinted goggles.
Weapons: Two pistols, a cutlass, and two knives.
Personality: Cold and distant, Zara allows no one to truly know her. Her father's beatings taught her to hide any pain and fear behind a defiant mask; her mother's timidity gave Zara a disgust for any appearance of weakness. She's driven by a constant need to be better, to prove her superiority over those around her. By her crew, she is at once feared and respected. She expects much of those under her command, pushes them hard, and disciplines strictly anyone who disobeys her. At the same time, however, she respects them- once they prove themselves worthy of her respect- and treats them fairly.
Abilities: Skilled pilot, deadly shot with a pistol, pretty good with a cutlass, devious tactician
Weaknesses: Proud and cold, refuses to fully trust anyone, driven by a need to be the best.
History: Zara grew up knowing little but pain. Her father was abusive; her mother too timid to try to stop him. She endured this for fifteen years, at first hoping that if she could be better, be stronger, her father would stop, and later simply biding her time. Finally, she left. The date of her departure happened to coincide with her father's sudden death, but no one could ever prove whether or not she was connected to the crime. She disguised herself as a boy, snuck aboard a Zy-Adair raiding ship, and began working her way up to become a captain. Now captain of her own ship, the Shadow Hand, she is working her way towards being one of the best and most-feared Zy-Adair captains.
Other: I haven't decided yet whether or not Zara is aligned with the Sky Nation; she might be or she might not be. Thoughts?
NightBlade-Name: Vincero "de'Nether" ap Clarence
-Race / Nationality: Zy-Adair
-Occupation: Leader of a small Zy-Adair raider band
-Appearance: Tall and aristocratic, with dark, cropped hair and a sharply trimmed beard and goatee. Cold green eyes, high cheekbones and an aquiline nose
-Personality: Dignified and a bit proud, devious and intelligent. Is prone to cruelty when in a bad (or humorous) mood
-Clothing/Armor: Dark brown leather tailcoat over a crimson vest, and pants that seem to cross denim and corduroy
-Weapons/Equipment: A short, slender cutlass in his belt, an elegant neulerime pistol, and a variety of daggers here or there. Has a cache of the most unusual and deadly gadgets.
-Skills: A devious tactician and strategist, is quick with his feet, his sword, and his tongue.
-Weaknesses: Is rather proud and short of temper, and not as physically strong as his pirate companions.
-Background: Came from an aristocratic Aria-Prime family (To be developed further)
