Here's the first chapter of a Fanfic of mine from a few years back. If ya'll want, I can post a bit more. Part One: Amy's POV Song: He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother by The Hollies "Mr. McIntyre, what did Grace mean by 'a greater danger'?" I asked, "She was speaking about the fact that now you and Dan, and all the Cahills who got through the Gauntlet have to convince all the other Cahills to stop fighting. You will be trying to reverse 500 years of fear, murder, and hatred." I shivered, this was going to be very dangerous. "Cool, I can use my ninja skills!" Dan exclaimed, "No Dan, you can't, because you don't have ninja powers." I said coldly. Then Fiske spoke, "You will both receive standard Madrigal training." I nodded, "Cool!" Dan said. I was sure he didn't understand the hardship and danger ahead of us. He's still just a kid, I thought, then I realized that I'm still a kid too. But things are different for me. I had to grow up very fast so that Dan did not have to. I began growing up when Dan's and my parents died, then when Grace died I grew up a bit more. But when we were thrown into the Clue Hunt, I had to hurry up and finish growing. If I didn't take responsibility, and protect Dan then he would have to go through all the same things as I did. I would never in a million years wish that on anyone, especially not my baby brother. Well, maybe I'd wish it on Isabel, I began to think, but quickly scolded myself. Those thoughts were not very Madrigal like, even if Isabel was the devil in disguise, Not a very good disguise, I thought, nearly kicking myself this time for the negative thoughts racing through my mind. The four of us finally left the island and the Gauntlet. The sea was calm, and enticed me to jump in, come, and come swim. Come to me child, I will calm you for now, she seemed to say, so I did. I jumped in, fully clothed. I shouted in glee. Soon I would have to grow up even more for Dan, but for these few minutes I could enjoy being a kid again. "C'mon Dan," I shouted, "Jump in, the water is perfect!" Dan yelled loudly and cannonballed into the water. We laughed and splashed, and I forgot my worries.

Neat!
Unfortunately I don't understand the context, but it's quite interesting. What's it a fanfic of?

It is a fanfic from The 39 Clues! I stopped reading the books recently, seeing as they desperately tried a second and then third series... the second series was barely worth it, and the third was completely hopeless. But I have written several fanfics, mostly based off the first series.

Here's a little tidbit from my WIP, False Light
I stared down at my younger self, imagining the scene in my aunt and uncle’s attic as clearly as though I had travelled back in time to watch it happen all over again. Jed took the hands of my younger self, peering into her bright emerald eyes, “Can you promise me something Ella?” he asked. I looked up in adoration at my older cousin, “What?” I breathed, eyes wide. “Promise me that you’ll never forget me. Promise that no matter what they tell you, you won’t listen,” he pulled out a small book, his journal, “And promise to keep this hidden, and don’t read it till your fourteenth birthday.” I took the journal solemnly, “I promise.” “Good. Now, I have to go away for a while, but promise me you won’t forget. When you read this, you’ll understand.” Jed pulled me into one last embrace and told me to go back home. That was the last time I saw my cousin, and now, five years later I stood in that very same attic on my fourteenth birthday and read the only memory left of him. Jed lied. I didn’t understand half of what I was reading. “Ella, come back down here! It’s ride to run off at your own party!” My head snapped up from the messy scrawl I pored over. “Sorry Mom, be right down!” I searched frantically for some excuse as to why I’d been in the attic, “Hah!” I exclaimed spotting a small box shoved in a dark corner. I opened the box to reveal a few little mementos of Jed and pulled out a smiling picture, “What are you do-“ Mom stopped, seeing the picture in my hand, “You aren’t allowed to have that Ella, you know the laws.” I forced out a few tears, which actually weren’t that difficult after seeing the contents of the box. “please Mom, I won’t let them see it!” My mother stared at me for a moment then, drawing me close brushed her fingers through my hair, “Keep it very secret,” I smiled slightly and nodded, turning back to the box to close the lid. “Lacey shouldn’t even have this up here,” Mom mumbled to herself, striding back down the stairs. She stopped and called up, “Grandpa Heiden just got here. You should say hello, he did come for your birthday after all.”

This is something I wrote on my blog.
The Warriors On Their Knees The world is a controversial place. Sometimes it seems like it's gotten worse, and maybe it has. But standing for truth is very rarely the popular thing to do. In England, anytime a Catholic was on the throne, Protestants were persecuted. Anytime a Protestant was on the throne, Catholics were persecuted. This is only one example of times throughout history when it has not been safe to stand up for the truth. I guess because America began as a Christian country, we all got too comfortable. Christianity was celebrated in America! It was popular to go to church on Sunday, and wear a cross necklace! However, America has been thrown into more and more turmoil these past few years, to the point where true Christianity is criticized, and Atheism and other religions are taking hold. We should not be surprised at this "If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you" ~John 15: 19. Now, some are called to speak out, and certainly there are some things that we can do! But I think we've too easily forgotten the most powerful effect we can have. My dear friends, our own strength will never be enough to break through the lies of the enemy. Indeed, we will ourselves fall prey to lies and deceit. "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." ~ Matthew 26:41 The last part of that verse is quoted all the time! But did you ever realize that the answer to the predicament is there too? "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation." That, my brothers and sisters, is where our power lies. In prayer. Because we will never be strong enough, the most world-changing, heart-changing thing we can do is pray to the Creator of the universe. The Savior of our souls. The Great Judge. Nothing is beyond His power and His influence! He is the King of the universe, and nothing can stand against Him! It is by Him we were created, and it is only in Him that we are able to learn the truth! So sure, post some articles. Definitely talk to your friends about controversial topics (With love and biblical truth) but brothers, sisters, friends. The winning battles will be fought down on our knees. Pray together “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” ~Matthew 18:20. and pray alone "But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." ~Matthew 6:6. Above all, "Pray without ceasing" ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
