"Hrm!" Traull grunted in happy affirmation. He switched on the grenade launcher on his rifle and blasted a three-meter hole in the wall that Mikilah hid behind. "You did think this through right?"
-----
Vizios perked at the sound of gunfire and explosions, his hand immediately grasping his saber hilt as he turned around.

Redden's feet skidded across the floor as she turned a corner. So far, no one had tried to stop her, and she thanked whatever force that had hold over her life for her good luck. Dashing down the hall, she thought she saw the Sith from before in a doorway—Vizios?

(( NightBlade: You went overboard with that guy. )) ((EDIT: NightBlade: If Vizios joins the fight, the Temple will suspect Moriah of having called in these villains.)) A spearhead of Jedi Temple Guardsmen blocked Punisher's way, saberlances extended. A thickening Force shield stretched in front of them as the Tython Jedi Temple's defensive shield rose to cover the building. The entrance of the Jedi Temple closed, blast doors and an extra laser shield activating. A second spearhead of Guardsmen encircled Traull, wielding their saberlances with insane speed to deflect the monstrosity's bullets. From high on the Jedi Temple, Jedi Ranged Guardsmen fired armour-piercing rounds at Traull, their aim enhanced and guided by the Force. Advanced weaponry—quad laser cannons and projectile launchers—emerged from their well-disguised hiding spots in the Temple's architecture. Even the sod shifted back in some places as electric fenceposts rose to protect the Temple. Arack Ta'Leen had been at work. Six Jedi interceptors rose from somewhere behind the Jedi Temple and zipped overhead, opening fire on Punisher's gunship.

Punisher chuckled at the shield before him. "Put down your weapons," he said, holding another detonator. "This leaves my hand, the Counsel Meeting room goes."
Mikila Looked at her brothet in shock. "Alti! Please! This isnt you!"
"It is now, Mikilah," he sneered. "The only cause worth fighting for is payment. Morals and honor are just a joke."

(( Derago Thorkson (The Hunter): Have you thought through how Punisher has been planting explosives in the Jedi Temple?)) Niger Saddoe never lowered his weapon. The transmitters in his mask streamed Punisher's words to the Guard Central Chamber. With their powers in the Force, the Masters would be able to sense the danger and hopefully dismantle it before Punisher carried out his threat—if he truly had explosives in the Temple, that was. "You may call morality a joke until you are doomed to Chaos." He threw a telekinetic punch into Punisher's jaw and squeezed the detonator with a Force crush.

(He's been planning this for years. Hes been smuggeling them in peice by piece)
"Stop!" Mikilah shouted. As much as she hated her brother for becoming such a monster, she couldnt bear to see him getting attacked. Maybe there was some good left in him. She stood between the Jedi and her brother.
Punisher fell back, his hand crushed. "Bombers," he croaked into his mic. "End the Temple."
Three small ships flew swiftly toward the Temple. The Jedi interceptors brought two of them down, but the last one was flying directly into the Temple, intending a suicide mission.

A speeder with an open roof appeared from the Jedi Temple hangars, piloted by Jedi Council Member Hul Maessk. Koynar Tol raised his arms and Force Judgement streamed from his hands at the third small ship.

((How? Wouldn't the Jedi have sensed his intrusion years and years ago? And how old was he when he began smuggling these in? He's only, what? Twenty? I'm not arguing, but I like hearing logical explanations for unexplained things.))
Niger threw a Force push directly into Mikilah, aiming to push her into her brother. "There is white and black. We are white, he is black. Choose your side, and we will either help you or oppose you."
A burst of crossfire from the Temple's quad lasers and heat-seeking missiles from hidden facilities in the ground launched at the third bomber. The Temple's particle shield strengthened as the ray shield weakened, protecting the Temple from the intended kamikaze. The Jedi interceptors swerved in a wide circle, coming against the bomber from behind and opening fire.

(They were busy worrying about the Sith. Plus, the parts of the bombs arent anything but every day mechanical parts that the maintainence workers would bring in regularly. In my defence, there are plenty of happenings that get past the Jedi)
"They are right, sister," Punisher taunted as he stood and backed away. "Come with me, or listen to these decieved fools." He whispered something into a mic. "Traull, lets go. We will come back another day." Two small fighters and a transport ship shot to the courtyard. "I leave now, Jedi. But do not be mistaken. I will return. I will succeed."

(( Derago Thorkson (The Hunter): The Jedi do employ non-Jedi maintenance workers to fix up the Temple, but I would expect their technical departments to do at least a basic check of the maintenance workers' history—that's a given in war, I would expect. (The Jedi do have technical departments—J'oopi Shé is a canonical character from a Jedi technical department.) Why would the Jedi go to the lengths of ignoring potential intrusions of non-Sith organisations just because they were worrying about the Sith? I agree that there are plenty of happenings that get past the Jedi, but the Temple is their gathering place, the place where their future is preserved through the Hopefuls.)) (( NightBlade: Why would the Temple not have shields and blast doors? Why would the Temple not have laser turrets? The Jedi are at war. It's common sense. Plus, I checked the Wookieepedia article, and this sentence is from it: "Highly advanced security and defense systems were hidden beneath the elegant architecture, maintaining an air of meditation while ensuring the occupants' safety." So it's ranked somewhere in canon rather than fanon. Your comment about the detonator—I haven't studied explosives, but what would crushing a detonator do?))
Niger chose not to reply, instead streaming live video from his mask's cameras to Central. When Punisher chose to attack again, the Temple would have more information on him, and hopefully figure out his motivations from the words he'd spoken in their presence. And now, they knew there was danger in the Temple. The Masters would be busy. Now they could hunt down and dismantle all explosives Punisher had planted.

And the workers are the normal workers, but the things theyve been bringing in were switched out in transit. The workers are completely clean, they just didnt realize they were bringing in self assembling bomb pieces)

(@dimitri: I've chosen to very conservatively, if ever, play this card on you...but I feel you're really going too far with your Wookieepedia knowledge. Let's face it, when I played at the Jedi temples in SWTOR and KOTOR, sure they're was security and guards but not a tenth of what you're...shall I say, "retconning" in. Research on a fan made website can't replace canonical experience, and I kind of resent how you tend to push that. (( NightBlade: About the Doom Watcher, sorry about that. I thought Traull jumped out of it—you said "the dying whine of a jumpjet" in Traull's first post, and I thought the Doom Watcher was the jumpjet. But you can ignore that if it's not the Doom Watcher. But…in the same way, I kind of resent how you want to stick to canonical details only. This battle isn't even canon. It's a fan-made Star Wars adventure in Old Republic times. There are massive differences in history—we have the Mandalorian Wars, but no Revan, no Malak, no Satele Shan or any of those other heroes. It stands to reason that this Star Wars period would be different without those characters. Characters shape history, and this Star Wars history is notably different. And Wookieepedia is my best source. My only source. There is no other place where I can get this information. And if the Jedi Temple can't defend itself against two super soldiers, the Jedi might as well resign as protectors of the galaxy.)) (( WookieeElf: I'm sorry, I still don't understand. The Jedi aren't at war against just the Sith—they're the guardians of the galaxy, so criminal organisations are also their enemies.))

((Well, I took a shower to cool down and think this through. I've decided I'm going to edit out the inclusion of turbolasers from the Temple's inner weaponry, and I'll assess the rest of the Temple's defences and work with…hmm…logic? I'll tone them down. But I had this thought in the shower: I think video games want to present a surmountable challenge so that the players raiding the Temple can actually get through and complete the mission. I think that in actual life, though, the Jedi would use all their skills and vast resources to present an insurmountable challenge to invaders. That's my take on the matter, and I accept that you have a different viewpoint than mine.)) ((Ah. Now I see what she meant, and I agree. Palpatine's rise to power wasn't done directly in the Jedi Temple, though.)) ((EDIT: Another thought…if the Purge can think up new plans, is it reasonable to believe that the Jedi can think up new defences?)) ((EDIT EDIT: I checked the Underground Guidelines. This is not godmodding—godmodding is bending logic or physics, and according to logic the Temple would have all these defences and more. It could potentially fit under powerplaying, though. I guess the thought about video games presenting a surmountable challenge applies here.))

(Showers are always nice) (Yeah yeah, don't expect me to make logic a habit or anything x) (Anyway... yeah that does make sense, but that same reasoning would apply to movies, stories, and pretty much all fiction with a fixed outcome (which we don't have but are based off of) so that reasoning would compromise the while premise) (I believe there is virtually no resemblance between Purge and the Jedi order whatsoever) (I need to poof for about a half hour, will be spotty upon return)

((Thank you, NightBlade, that's what I meant. And yes, Dmitri, Palp's rise to power didn't happen directly at the Jedi Temple, but the actions there pretty much ensured it. (( NightBlade: Well, I've made logic a habit. As you can probably see, I look to logic above canonicity, and that's where our root conflict lies. And that's an inconsistency. A plot hole. The fixed outcome should only be fixed if the winners actually have the power to do what they do. Anything less than the logical way to go means that the writer isn't employing everything at their disposal. So the battle is less epic than it could be. What I mean by saying that about the Purge is that since it is regrouping to attack again, the Jedi Order would logically be able to think up new defences and implement them before the Purge returns. Nothing in my statement was intended to draw a parallel between the Purge and the Jedi.)) (( WookieeElf: I think the main difference between Order 66 and The Old Republic is that in the Old Republic, the Jedi know the Sith are there. They can't not know it. There are thousands of Sith, whereas in the Clone Wars they aren't sure. But I do get your meaning. I think Red, Aza, and Dexus could escape if they do it quickly. I'll hold off my characters if Lylyss wants to get them out now.)) ((Also, I'd appreciate it if Hunter and NightBlade would read this proposal.))

( Lylyss and WookieeElf: you guys gonna take advantage of this opportunity to move your characters) ( Dmitri Pendragon: I'm bringing up the attack on the Sith Academy on Korriban a long time ago...I don't recall any such defensive measures; you and at least one other roleplayer brought in a number of characters and inflicted significant damage with no resistance on approach. And yet here you are turning the Jedi temple... one of them...into a military headquarters. As we speak of logic, I fail to see the logical consistency here. I request again that you reconsider this, but if you choose not to me and Derago Thorkson (The Hunter) can proceed with appropriate adjustment to our own team) One red blade of Vizios' saber sprang to life with a hiss, though he remained atationary. "What is the meaning of this?" He demanded harshly to no one in particular, after noting that this was obviously not his fellow Sith attacking. ----- Traull backpedaled with Punisher, cursing the Jedi angrily under his breath and firing high-velocity grenades in the enemy's general direction as he did. "I've contacted Tacitus and the team, and Bloodfreight is already en route. You need to get your contacts mobilized ASAP." ----- Atim's groping hand closed around his lightsaber hilt and he lurched to his feet. He made a desperate feint stab at his massive opponent's chest, then swept at his legs. Decretus flicked his huge sword and caught the padawan's blade in the crook of his own, and wrenched the weapon out of his opponent's hand before stepping in and knocking Atim to the ground with the flat of his blade. Atim rolled and once again regained his feet shakily...only to lose his balance and tumble off the edge of the wooden balcony and into the thick foliage underneath. With a rumbling thud, Decretus landed on the ground and turned his helm-clad head this way and that, but the padawan was nowhere to be seen or heard. Hrm. No matter. There are other things to be done.Of course. Now where to?

Jaraal Starrunner basically foiled the entire Jedi mission by defending the stolen holocron against Polla Kaleesh. Although I do see what you mean, and I'm going to change my approach. I cut down the Temple's defences on my document earlier, but I'm going to reconsider my entire proposal. I'll use a few characters instead of the entire Temple and its defences. One or two, maybe three. Would you accept that? EDIT: That attack on the Academy was preplanned and done covertly, at least at the start, while Punisher just walked up to the Jedi Temple in full view. There's an obvious difference there. Other Jedi who later joined the crew for a short period of time included Hul Maessk, Thelis Kampion, Sendaris, and Talia Amrilla. I don't recall Jorus going to Korriban at any point in the battle. There was a battle on Tatooine where Ryebrynn's Jedi apprehended Essa Haniri, Dorn Thelcar and Mark Tane, who were being pursued by Jorus and Kalen Rozeesh, but I don't think Leilani was involved in that.
