Hmm. We won't actually have the same problems with server memory/bandwidth/processing power as we did on the old Underground, so I don't think that there's a technical reason to limit battle threads (or any threads at all, actually). It's still completely up to the Sentinels if they want to limit it for other reasons, though. (Chief among those would be keeping Whitehall tidy and clean).

Keeping it clean and tidy is the main reason, another reason sort of falling under that is that this isn't a very large forum with hundreds of members. So it can only sustain so many battle threads. It makes no sense to have a large number of dead threads and then continue making more of the same kind. If what we have isn't thriving there's no need to make more.
